Its a fascinating subject to me.  To my chagrin I must admit it does guide all other sciences.  I still standby my subject of microbiology.  Anyway, take a look at this picture I found on the net.  It was originally in black and white, but someone colorized it.  I want to try to find its original post to find out more, but enjoy the picture for now.
